Indoor air quality services in Centerville, Ohio
We install filtration, humidity control and ventilation in Centerville, about nine miles from the Beavercreek office. What suits a historic Uptown house and what suits a 1990s subdivision are different, so we measure before recommending anything.
Filtration, purification, and humidity control for allergy season, dry winters, and everything the Miami Valley air brings inside.

What indoor air quality equipment can I get?
We measure humidity, particulates and ventilation before recommending anything.
What works in an old house that does not work in a new one?
Humidity control, mostly. Older Centerville structures leak more air, so they run dry in winter and the fix is a whole-home humidifier rather than a purifier. Newer subdivision housing holds moisture and stale air instead, which points toward dehumidification and ventilation. Same city, opposite problems, which is why the measurement comes before the recommendation.
What actually helps with allergies at home?
In rough order of effect: keep humidity between about 35 and 50%, upgrade to real media filtration sized for the system rather than a denser one-inch filter, deal with the source where you can, and only then look at added equipment. Bedrooms matter more than the rest of the house because of how many hours are spent in them. Nothing here is dramatic on its own, and the combination usually is, which is the opposite of how air quality equipment tends to be sold.
Is a higher MERV filter always better?
No, and this is the most common way people make things worse while trying to help. A denser filter catches more, and it also restricts more air, and a system designed around a one-inch filter can be starved by a high-MERV one dropped into the same slot. Starved airflow means a furnace running hot and an air conditioner freezing its coil. If you want serious filtration, the answer is a thicker media cabinet with far more surface area, not a denser filter in the existing gap.
Our house is new. Why does the air feel worse?
Because it is tight and because it is new, and those are two separate effects. A well-sealed shell holds indoor moisture and cooking byproducts instead of leaking them away, so anything generated indoors stays longer. New materials also off-gas for months: flooring, cabinets, paint, adhesives and furniture. Ventilation is the answer to both, and in a new house that usually means using the mechanical ventilation that is already installed rather than adding equipment.
The house feels damp even with the AC running.
Cooling removes moisture only while the coil is cold and air is moving across it. An oversized system satisfies the thermostat in short bursts and never runs long enough to dehumidify, which is how a house ends up cool and clammy. Above about 60% relative humidity you get the conditions for dust mites and mold regardless of how clean the house is. The fix is sometimes a dehumidifier and is often correcting why the system short cycles, so measure the humidity before buying equipment for it.
How do I know it worked?
How do I book an air quality assessment in Centerville?
Call (844) 584-7399 and you get a person, or book online in about a minute. If it's an emergency, no heat or water on the floor, call rather than booking. That skips the next-day queue and goes straight to the 24/7 line.
